Creating a Permission Set for Cuneiform for CRM Connected App Access

Cuneiform® for CRM uses a connected app to securely broker Salesforce REST API calls. The connected app requires that approved user assignments be managed via a permission set or profile association.

Let’s create a permission set to manage this association between your org’s application Admins and the Cuneiform for CRM: Connected App.

This permission set supports administrative access to PeerNova's Cuneiform for CRM application. It provides users access to the Connected App that brokers Salesforce API requests.

While we recommend you use the above values, you can use your own values for the Label, API Name, and Description fields identified above, but remember that all permission set API names must be unique in your Salesforce org. If you’re using different values for these fields, be sure to make note of them, as these details will be needed to associate the permission set with the connected app required by Cuneiform for CRM.

Perform the following steps to create the new permission set:

  1. From the Setup homepage, type Permission in the Quick Find search box to filter the left navigation.

     

  2. Click Permission Sets in the filtered list.

     

  3. From the Permission Sets list view, click New.

     

  4. In the Label field, type Cuneiform for CRM: Connected App Assignment. The API Name field will automatically populate with a formatted version of the label. Please remember that all permission set API Names must be unique in your Salesforce org.

     

  5. In the Description, type This permission set supports administrative access to PeerNova's Cuneiform for CRM application. It provides user access to the Connected App that brokers Salesforce API requests.

     

  6. Click Save to save the new permission set for the Cuneiform for CRM: Connected App Assignment.

     

  7. Confirm your new permission set is in the list that appears after you click save.
