Enabling CRM Permissions for Standard Users

Enabling CRM Permissions for Standard Users

Admin access to your Salesforce org is required to assign permissions to standard users.
Please note that only users with Admin access and permissions to manage permission sets should make these changes. Please verify your access with your Salesforce Admin.

Enable Non-Admins to Monitor Data in Your Salesforce Org

Before non-Admins (standard users) can use Cuneiform® for CRM, they must have the appropriate profiling permissions enabled by Admins. Standard users who have these permissions enabled can:

  • Create profiling definitions

  • Edit profiling definitions

  • Profile Salesforce objects

  • Delete profiling definitions

  • Clone profiling definitions

  • Purge profiling results (including field and value summary results)

To provide profiling permissions to a non-Salesforce Admin, please:

  • Add the user to the Cuneiform for CRM: Administrators Permission Set Group. This will give the user the appropriate rights to profile accessible Salesforce objects.

Assigning a user to the Cuneiform for CRM: Administrators permission set group does not make users Admins in your Salesforce org. It will instead provide the minimal permissions necessary for the user to profile accessible Salesforce objects.

  • Assign the Run Flows System Permission to the standard user. This can be done by associating the permission to Cuneiform for CRM’s Connected App permission-set – or another permission set created by the Admin.

The Cuneiform for CRM: Administrator permission set comes pre-configured with the necessary flows that are required to profile and manage profiling results.

  10. Confirm the permission set group assignment from the user’s page by hovering over Permission Set Group Assignments (1) and locating Cuneiform for CRM: Administrators in the list that appears.

Remember that non-Admins must also be granted the Run Flows system permission. This will allow users to execute the flows that Cuneiform for CRM leverages to perform profiling, generate profiling results, and manage these results.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully assigned Cuneiform for CRM Administrative Permissions to a standard Salesforce user. This will allow users to profile the objects that your users have rights to – without granting them Administrative rights to the Salesforce org.
